Mac has background-color -theme adjusting. During summer, I realize why it would be so super-cool: it is hard to see anything with standard settings when there are so much sun-light. So how can I adjust the background-color settings and font similarly to Mac console?

What worked for me is putting the font files in ~/.local/share/fonts and then running,
$ sudo fc-cache -vf ~/.local/share/fonts
The fonts in ~/.local/share/fonts are available for all apps now.
Changing the prompt style
To change the prompt format, add the following lines in ~/.bashrc file:

Intall Monaco font. You can run this in Terminal:
curl -kL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/cstrap/monaco-font/master/install-font-ubuntu.sh | bash

Then set the Terminal font to use Monacao: go to Edit -> Profile Preferences and change the font:
