I have zeitgeist daemon always in processes. I don't see the point of this zeitgeist, it logs my activity. i removed it from startup programs, but it is still there.
Can I uninstall this package? Why do I need it at all?

This can be done using the Zeitgeist Activity Log Manager :
Add the Zeitgeist PPA:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:zeitgeist/ppaInstall the latest version of Zeitgeist:
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgradeRestart
zeitgeist-daemon:zeitgeist-daemon --replaceInstall activity-log-manager
sudo apt-get install activity-log-managerOpen up Activity Log Manager and click the Logging active button in the bottom right corner of the window to disable logging:
Click it again to re-enable logging.
There is a Tomboy Unity lens that enables one to search through Tomboy notes in the dash. To install, open a terminal and add the appropriate ppa to your software sources:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:remi.rerolle/unity-lens-tomboy
Then update
sudo apt-get update
Then install the package:
sudo apt-get install unity-lens-tomboy
You might need to log out and back in to get the search functionality.

Run
sudo apt-get remove zeitgeist*in a terminal. It might remove a few related packages, but so long as you don't see anything suggested for removal that you don't want, you should be fine.As per comments: you will lose unity functionality (I was not sure how much when I first wrote the answer) if you remove zeitgeist. So, I suggest you just disable logging.
You can also turn off logging altogether from system settings.
