I have been using Windows 8 for the past few days but suddenly since a couple of days I'm not able to use my Windows Store.
Every time I try to open it, it says that my system has to be connected to internet to use the store even though my computer is connected to the internet and it is working too.
This is the message that is shown when I open my app store:
Your PC isn't connected to the internet. To use the store connect to internet and try again
I'll provide an update. Suddenly, without me doing anything in particular (apart from asking this question on SuperUser!), about 10 of the apps started downloading, and installed quickly. I then tried installing some more and they hung waiting to download for an age, but eventually after an hour or so, got going and installed themselves.
So I don't know whether there is something wrong with my PC, or maybe the Windows Store is perhaps not coping with demand very well at the moment.
Try if your store is working after EACH of the fixes below, until it's working
Check if you can connect to websites. If you can't, try the following:
Press win + R and type inetcpl.cpl.
In the window that appears, click on LAN settings.
Check "Use Proxy Server for your LAN" is unchecked like this:
Again, win + R and then type RunDll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL timedate.cpl
Internet time -> Change settings -> Update now
win + R -> msconfig
Click on Diagnostic Start Up then reboot.
Try registering for a new one if you have just one.
win + C -> Change PC settings -> General -> Refresh your PC

Running
worked for me.
Simply go to bottom left corner and right click.
Select search and type WSReset, the app will show up on the left.
Click this to run it and my store began working again.
