Regain space from failed attempt to install Windows Using Boot Camp

I'm kind of stuck with a 30GB partition on the hard drive of my MBP that I cannot regain. This is what happened:

I used boot camp to try to install Win 10 on a partition
Once it rebooted into Win10 setup, it failed to install the system on the partition
I tried to use Boot Camp Assistant to remove the partition but I'm getting this message:

The startup disk cannot be partitioned or restored to a single
partition.

Then, I used disk utility to try to merge my main partition with the mentioned above but it won't let me remove it (I tried from recovery mode with the same results)

I'm using macOS Sierra 10.12.3 on my Late 2015 15" MBP.

If you're not afraid of the command line

First show your partitioning

sudo gpt show /dev/diskX

Remove the partition

sudo gpt remove -i 2 /dev/diskY

Replace X with your disk number, and the index "2" with the partition number of the windows partition.

Afterwards, use the gui to enlarge your partition.

Start up from an install disk or recovery partition, use Disk Utility or Terminal to kill the Windows partitions, instead of trying through Boot Camp. Then resize your main HD to reclaim the existing space.

If you are comfortable with it, might be best to stick with Terminal, specifically using diskutil and paying attention to the eraseVolume and resizeVolume commands. Stick with resizeVolume Macintosh\ HD R to automatically increase the volume size to the available limits of free space. See diskutil on the Mac OS X Manual Page for reference.

There is no need to delete the CoreStorage Logical Volume Group. Just resize it:

Have a backup!
Reboot into Internet Recovery Mode (hold Option-Command-R) as the machine is restarting). You'll eventually be presented with a Max OS X Utilities window.
In the menu bar along the top of the screen, click Utilities -> Terminal.

At the prompt, enter diskutil cs list and you should get output similar to the following.

Copy the Logical Volume (LV) alphanumeric UUID of your CoreStorage volume. The LVUUID should be the fourth (the fifth if you have a Fusion Drive) listed. In the above example the alphanumeric is:
AC1A071B-63D0-488F-AFFF-D296E446FE6B
Run the following command:
```
diskutil cs resizeStack LVUUID partsize  
```
According to the number found above it would be:
```
diskutil cs resizeStack AC1A071B-63D0-488F-AFFF-D296E446FE6B 0g  
```
This will expand your CoreStorage volume to full 1.24 TB
Quit Terminal.app and start Disk Utility and verify the expanded volume.
