MacOS – To install unbuffer in OSX

There is the terminal command unbuffer in Linux Redhat, for instance.
I did not find it in homebrew.

How can you install unbuffer in OSX Yosemite 10.10.3?

unbuffer is part of the expect package:

brew install homebrew/dupes/expect

You may need to:

brew tap homebrew/dupes/expect

Before you can install it.

UPDATE: As of 2018 expect is available without prefix in homebrew, thus:

brew install expect

is all that is necessary.

Something seems to have changed your curl binary. To fix it, run

sudo rm -f /usr/bin/curl-wrapper
sudo mv /usr/bin/curl.bin /usr/bin/curl

As of right now there is no gexiv2 brew formula but I've created and submitted one which will hopefully get accepted soon. You can follow here: https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew/pull/37944

Beyond that there are various dependencies of shotwell that aren't easily available through brew, for example rest and gudev which don't appear to exist anywhere for OS X. I'll have a go at creating formulas for them depending on how the first one goes.
