I have multiple keyboard attached to one of my macs. One is more of the gamer type the other is the usual bluetooth keyboard.
One is French (Windows AZERTY) the other one is US (Mac QWERTY).
Is it possible to use both without having to switch the layout manually every time we switch from one to the other in OS X?
The "~" key is located between the "left shift" and "Z" keys on the international english keyboard.
Many users are used to have this key under the escape key (the US layout), and they (including me) use the KeyRemap4MacBook software to swap those keys.
Edit: KeyRemap4MacBook is now called Karabiner. Here is a screenshot of the configuration I'm using to remap Section to Backquote key.
Edit: Karabiner does not work on macOS Sierra, however a new project is in development: Karabiner Elements. As of now, it can do the replacement in question:
I think this might be due to the fact that some European keyboards have a different arrangement of the keys. For example, compare the enter keys and the number of keys in each row.
So my (American) keyboard layout looks like this:
What I noticed is that on your screenshot, the layout is called "USA", and on mine it is "U.S.", maybe this helps to find the correct layout.

I don't think this is possible, but you might have a look at the Karabiner app, which I've heard has ways of distinguishing hardware keyboards.
Manual switching is in any case very fast using the Command plus space shortcut.
