I have switched from Ubuntu to macOS (Sierra 10.12.5) recently and I am missing few very basic keyboard shortcut in the terminal.
I used to open multiple terminal in tabs and set name of each tab but couldn't find any keyboard shortcut so far, although I am using CMD + Shift + I which open the inspector window separately and there I can set the title name but again there is no way to close that inspector window using keyboard.
Kindly tell us if there any shortcut to do that?
Edit: Disregard the first part. [ Is the shift of { so we were saying the same thing different ways. I'm leaving this here though regarding disabling the Mission Control shortcuts.
The sequence to cycle forward through tabs is ⌘+shift+}, despite what the Window menu says. (⌘+} switches between windows. Very odd.) And ⌘+shift+{ cycles backward.
(You should also be able to reclaim ⌘+1, ⌘+2, etc. to switch windows in Terminal, which is what the Window menu says those shortcuts do, by going to System Preferences > Keyboard and disabling the keyboard shortcuts that use cmd+ a number under Mission Control. I haven't tested this though.)
Often for these kind of 'popup'/'helper' windows, the keyboard setup to hide them is the same than to show them.
I tested it in xcode for which the shortcut is :
ctrl+shift+cmd+C
It's comportement is as i expected it, it work as a toggle 'on/off' window/shortcut.
EDIT: Forgot to add one thing, you can find that shortcut easily through the help menu of each app, i usually find myself taping 'show color' to actually see the shortcut and open the panel

You are almost there.
You can open the inspector to set the title name with CMD + Shift+I
In order to close it you can press ESC OR use the inspector toggle shortcut - CMD + I
