Shell – Is Pidgin integrated with Gnome Shell

Does Pidgin integrate well with Gnome Shell, compared to Empathy? I'm using Linux Mint 12 right now. Would I be better off installing Empathy?

There is a "gnome-shell-extensions-pidgin" referred on another question.

It will allow some synchronization between Pidgin and gnome-shell.

Personally, I believe Empathy isn't still ready for the masses.

System settings > System > System info (or Details on some distros). On all distros, in terminal:

As far as I understand from Gnome's IRC channel, it is an upstream decision.

Open the System Settings > Displays control applet. It's not evident - at all - but you can drag the miniature of the top black panel onto the display you want to mark as primary. Panels, activity overlay and everything will migrate on that display.
