Ubuntu – Unity Tweak tool fails to start with the error “com.canonical.unity.webapps schema is missing”

In order to work properly, Unity Tweak Tool recommends you install the necessary packages

Install the package unity-webapps-service

the following solution worked with me:

sudo aptitude install unity-tweak-tool

This will fix the broken packages and unsolved dependencies. Good luck!

I had the same issue, and I used the above solutions. Both were required to achieve a solution.

sudo apt-get install notify-osd
sudo apt-get install overlay-scrollbar

Now it works perfectly.
