Ubuntu – transparent window when using gnome-shell and communitheme on Ubuntu 18.04

I have installed communitheme in gnome-shell. It gives smoother and faster experience. However, I am facing the following issue with System Monitor window. The window is completely transparent.

is there any way to solve this in this theme?

That actually happens with the official Gnome Shell packages in Ubuntu 11.10 too (at least for me, at the time I'm posting this answer).

I only know a fix for this: disabling Nautilus from handling the desktop (so using this, you won't have icons on the desktop anymore). To do this, install "dconf-tools":

sudo apt-get install dconf-tools

Then launch "dconf-editor", navigate to org > gnome > desktop > background and uncheck the "show-desktop-icons" box.

Ubuntu – How to get transparent window borders / titlebars in GNOME Shell

Since the release of Ubuntu 12.10, gconf-editor has been officially replaced by dconf-editor. So the answer by Ringtail will not work.

To enable Window Titlebar transparency in Ubuntu 12 onwards:

Open a Terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T)
Copy and Paste the following line:
```
sudo apt-get install dconf-tools
```
Press Enter and install the package.
Once installed, run dconf-editor in the terminal.
Navigate to org/compiz/gwd
Now change the values of the following to anything between 0 and 1:
```
metacity-theme-active-opacity
metacity-theme-inactive-opacity
```
Now you've changed the transparency of the Window Titlebars.
