How do I set Nautilus to be the default file manager in Xubuntu?
Should I expect any trouble with this choice compared to normal gnome nautilus setup?

This did it for me, after I google for a while:
xdg-mime default nautilus.desktop inode/directory application/x-gnome-saved-search
I also typed:
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.background show-desktop-icons true
- Open a terminal (Ctrl+Alt+t).
Run the following command:
exo-preferred-applicationsNext, go to Utilities > Default File Manager, and choose the file manager that you want to use as your default.

Install the package called
exo-utils. Then press Alt+F2 and run the commandexo-preferred-applications. In Preferred Applications, click on the Utilities tab, and under File Manager, select Nautilus. (You must install Nautilus first, if you haven't already.)
