That is where I ask if I can put dropbox, NOT on the panel itself.

The way applications interact with the messaging menu was changed in 12.10, and not all applications have been updated. Pidgin (as of 20th Oct 2012) has not been updated. There is a ticket tracking what applications have been migrated. Until then Empathy could be used as an replacement.
Well, I found an easy way.
Open Dconf Editor, go to com > canonical > indicator > messages. You can change the order of applications there or even remove something.
Then, you should restart unity to changes take effect. So simply logout and login again, or press Alt+F2 and run unity --replace. The result is this:
Notice: If you disable all the online accounts associated with Empathy, the settings will be reset to the previous state; so to keep current arrangement, always keep at least one account enabled.

It is not possible (as far as I know) to move DP from its standard place in the traybar to the message menu. You can only add a shortcut in Message Indicator menu:
Open a terminal and type:
sudo gedit /usr/share/indicators/messages/applications/dropboxIn the editor, type following text and save:
/usr/bin/dropbox
