Indicator – ‘Me’ Menu Disappeared in Ubuntu

I am running ubuntu 10.10 with the Indicator Applet Complete. However on logging in today morning, I find that the me menu has disappeared. I removed the indicators completely from the panel and then added it again however I can't get the me menu back. All the other indicators like sound,mail work perfectly. However the Indicator Applet session is missing the me menu.

Any ideas why this might happen? I did not update any indicators recently.

Make sure that the indicator-me package is installed. If it was and you added the Indicator Applet Session and the MeMenu was still gone. Try the following:

gconftool – -recursive-unset /apps/panel
rm -rf ~/.gconf/apps/panel
pkill gnome-panel

You might need a reboot after that as well.

Ok, I manage to solve it. I just installed the libido package and now the indicator-sound package installed with no errors. Maybe the system needed a reboot with the package uninstalled or something. If someone's having this problem, you can try:

sudo apt-get remove libido-0.1-0 
sudo apt-get remove indicator-sound

Restart your computer (this is the part that seems to have solved it). And then reinstall both packages.

sudo apt-get install libido-0.1-0 
sudo apt-get install indicator-sound

It's worth mentioning that, even after the reboot, the terminal kept reporting error messages when I tried to install indicator-sound. But after I reinstalled libido manually, the indicator-sound installed without issues.

As far as I know, each account you set up with Evolution will have its own inbox showing because they do not share the same inbox. I use Evolution with my school email and Gmail addresses, and they have 2 different inboxes in Evolution.
I'm not sure myself; I am actually wondering whether this could be filed as a bug report on Launchpad.
They do on my system, at least when Evolution is open but its window does not have focus.
