Ubuntu – Internet category not returning any results in Synapse

It's much too early for both projects to be able to answer this question.

However both use Zeitgeist heavily so you can probably guess in your head what can be possible.

sudo apt-get remove exo-utils

this is from xfce. You might need to remove thunar as well. Fixed it for me anyway.
