Ubuntu – Inkscape python-lxml error

I'm using Inkscape 0.91 (r13725) and I always receive this error message when I try to use Perspective add-on or when I try to save the sketch in any format:

The fantastic lxml wrapper for libxml2 is required by inkex.py and therefore this extension. 
Please download and install the latest version from http://cheeseshop.python.org/pypi/lxml/, or install it through your package manager by a command like: sudo apt-get install python-lxml
Technical details: No module named lxml

And I've already installed the python-lxml package and nothing happened.

Can anyone help me?

Dávid Bartal, I have had the same problem.

Since I installed a package named "python2-lxml", things work normally.

Tip: Inkscape uses python 2.x instead of python 3.x, so install python2 compatible modules. For example install python2-lxml instead of python-lxml.

urlparse is part of the standard Python 2 library. It's shipped as part of Python; it isn't packaged separately on PyPI et al. urlparse.urlparse (the function) was renamed in Python 3 to urllib.parse.

So, a few things to look at:

Your Python 2 program might be running under Python 3. Check the launch script to see how it picks which version of Python. It should probably start #!/usr/bin/env python2 but also double check (by running env python2) that that loads up Python 2.
Something has eaten /usr/lib/python2.7/urlparse.py, in which case reinstall the libpython2.7-stdlib package with:
```
sudo apt-get install --reinstall libpython2.7-stdlib
```
Or you have a local file causing mischief...

Ubuntu – python-pip package disappeared in Ubuntu 20.04

python-pip package is no longer supported by Ubuntu as Python 2.7 is no longer supported. So forget that package. But you can still install it by issuing the following on terminal:

wget https://bootstrap.pypa.io/get-pip.py
python2 get-pip.py

As python3-pip package is supported, which provides pip3 command you can install it Python 3 with apt by:

sudo apt update
sudo apt install python3-pip
