How do I remove the shutdown confirmation menu saying "are you sure you want to shut down"? This is the menu that pops up after I press shut down.
I can't navigate to it in gconf_editor using the old instructions for 10.04 or 11.04.

For 12.04 an later
Settings for the indicator session and logout menu are found by running dconf-editor (from dconf-tools )
You will need to add command alias for all related command as follows:
Cmnd_Alias SHUTDOWN_CMDS = /sbin/shutdown, /sbin/halt, /sbin/reboot
and after that you need to add a user specification as follows at the end of /etc/sudoers file
<your username> ALL=(ALL) NOPASSWD: SHUTDOWN_CMDS
You will need root permissions to write to sudoers file.

For 11.10
Run
dconf-editor(either Alt+F2 or from terminal, must be installed first)
uncheck "logout-prompt"
I still haven't found a way to return restart to the menu and suppress that confirmation.
