Ubuntu – How to remove / change the “Open With” list

I have one problem. Just look at image:

So I want to remove one of Dev-C++ IDE and Microsoft Visual Studio Version Selector (I've tried to install Microsoft Visual Studio and it doesn't works,and one of the Dev-C++ IDE too). But I don't know how to change that list. I am using Ubuntu 11.10.

Enter the contextual menu of the file and go to the Properties of it. Then, go to Open with tab, right click on the application you want to remove and click on Forget association.

Add this line:

NautilusWindow * {background-image:url("bg.jpg");}

where bg.jpg is the background image you want to display.
Run nautilus -q to kill all open file browsers.
Run nautilus.

This will apply background to all classes present inside NautilusWindow.You can identify the classes where you don't want to apply background and add background-image:none;
Example:

NautilusWindow .sidebar,
NautilusFloatingBar,
NautilusWindow .sidebar .view {
    background-image: none;
}

Ubuntu – Can I disable Chromium’s in-browser mp3 player

This option does not exist, and from what I gather it is intentionally left out and will not be added.

You can alt-click any link to store the file directly, disregarding its type (mp3, avi, pdf, html, ...).

It was of course not confirmed, but supposedly, this is done to keep the user inside the browser and extend the browsers control of the user. Reading the EULA supports this.
