Evince – How to Delete an Annotation in Evince

I have discovered with great surprise that Evince 2.32.0 allows for annotations on a PDF.
To my dismay however, I have found no means to delete annotations (no button, no menu, no right-click-menu, nada). How can I delete an annotation then?

That is because at the moment you can not remove them. Developers are planning this feature for future releases.

I believe you can do what you want with master-pdf-editor. It will annotate and play nicely with Adobe. Only snag is that it is free as in beer, but not as in speech,

Luis' suggestion worked. I used the following command:

echo fs.inotify.max_user_watches=100000 | sudo tee -a /etc/sysctl.conf; sudo sysctl -p

as suggested by the question he linked to, which was addressing Dropbox syncing.
