I am total noob in Linux. I wanna know what is the equivalent of "My Computer" in Ubuntu 11.04. I want to check my computer specs such as Processor Speed, Memory, and etc.
Whenever I check properties in Home Folder it only gives me the HD capacity. I also tried looking at System Settings but I can't find it there. Please help.
Look for Disk Utility on you dash (as an option press Alt+F2 and type palimpsest)
Click on the disk you want information from, to test it click on Benchmark
To start benchmark, select Read only or Read/Write benchmark
You can find some info under System Settings > Details > Overview. It gives you some details about your RAM, Processor, OS Type and hardrive.
If you want something more complete you can install hardinfo via terminal:
sudo apt-get install hardinfo
It gives you a very complete description about your system.

Hit Super (Start button in windows) , Type and and open
System Monitor.For full details system information use HardInfo : Click to install.
HardInfo can display information about both your system's hardware and operating system.
