I know how to set and display most themes, however I can find anything about how to turn the Global Dark Theme on and off through Terminal, I can only find the option in the gnome-tweak-tool. So is there not a way to turn it on and off through Terminal? I am running Ubuntu GNOME 15.10 with GNOME 3.18.

Download a theme>extract it>Inside it should have something similar to this:
As you can see there's a gtk-3.0 and a metacity-1 folder. These two folders should be in: /home/user/.themes/.
Then open up Gnome Tweak Tool>go to Theme>Window theme>Scroll down to the theme you want.
Log out, and done.
The Numix theme is my personal favourite. To install it -
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:numix/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install numix-gtk-theme
Otherwise, download the theme file and extract the theme file to /usr/share/themes.
To set the theme -
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-theme "Numix"
gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences theme "Numix"
where Numix can be replaced with the name of the theme.

Create a new file called settings.ini inside of the GTK 4 directory:
Enter the following fields into the configuration file:
Write the changes to disk by pressing control + x, then press y, then enter.
