I have many users at the place I work, expressing the notion of switching to Ubuntu. Most of them, for whatever weird reason wanting to know if its possible to have refresh added when you right click on the desktop.
Is that possible?

you can create terminal.desktop in ~/.local/share/file-manager/actions/
And add content like this
[Desktop Entry]

I use Deepin Terminal so my Exec is deepin-terminal -w %f. You should change this if you use other terminal. For example, you can use gnome-terminal --working-directory %f for Gnome Terminal.
You may want to use Templates directory (or how is called in your language) from your home directory in this sense. Files from this folder will appear in the New Document menu. So, add the files with the extension what you want in this folder and you can create them after files with the same extension from the right click menu:
Moreover, if you add some predefined text in these files from Templates folder, the new files which you will create them from the right click menu will contain that text.

To add refresh command to right click context menu in Ubuntu 11.10 , install nautilus – refresh by running following commands in the terminal.
Once the package is installed, run following commands to restart nautilus or log out and log back in to see the changes.
