Ubuntu – How to add a Skype indicator?

I've installed Skype, but the icon is not shown at the top panel (tray). As "tray-whitelist" was removed from dconf, I can't add icon by myself.

I had the same problem, installing the following package fixed it for me:

sudo apt-get install sni-qt:i386

Here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2276023 posted the solution worked for me finally on 15.04.

sudo apt-get install sni-qt:i386

Then need to restart Skype.

Be sure to have sni-qt installed for i386 :

sudo apt-get install sni-qt:i386
