Ubuntu – Disable GRUB 2 and Plymouth

I have a dual-boot system with Linux 12.04 and Windows 7.
I use Windows Boot Manager, which I configured with EasyBCD through Windows.

Now, when I start up Ubuntu, GRUB appears, making me choose Ubuntu again.
How can I disable GRUB?

I would like to disable Plymouth as well, because my resolution (1366×768) is not supported at all, and I already gave up trying to fix it.

Get grub customizer, go to Preferences, disable show menu, and click save.

You can't remove plymouth, but you can disable the splash. Remove the package "plymouth-label".

You don`t need too uninstall you can just disable it Try to do this in you terminal:

sudo nano /etc/default/grub

Look for:

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"

Change it too :

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet"

And update Grub(be very careful you can break your boot if power goes down or something goes wong):

sudo update-grub

Ubuntu – Remove windows boot manager and use grub instead

A very simple solution that works for me every time is to get into bios and check for boot order. Just go to bios and put ubuntu above windows and then grub will show you.
