I am used to copy and pasting into the terminal and out using Ctrl+Shift+V to paste. But on raring, this key command seems to not work? Ctrl+Shift+C does copy though.
How can I fix the terminal to have the old key bindings?

You need to append a Shift when pasting into the Terminal: Ctrl+Shift+V Same with copying a selection only using a C instead:
Ctrl+Shift+C
Shift is the escape sequence for shortcuts when using the Gnome Terminal.
Alternatively you can Right Click->Paste
There is a simple workaround for what you need.
First you will have to install xdotool
.
Then launch the Keyboard configuration
gnome-control-center keyboard:
(Go to Shortcuts → Custom shortcuts)
Click on "+" and add a name like "Paste into terminal" and the command
xdotool key --clearmodifiers ctrl+shift+v
Then choose Shift+Insert as the key binding:
Because of a bug, you will have to logout and log back in so the shortcut can take effect.
