I am not able to see even a single application for purchase in Ubuntu 11.04 Natty Narwhal Software Center. It has been the like this ever since i did clean install over 10.10.
Are available applications restricted to geographic boundaries? I live in India.
How many apps can you see on your computer? Can someone guide me into getting this feature in back in the Software Center?
The clause is meant to inform you, the developer, that it is your responsibility (obligation to use that terminology) to ensure your application runs on the supported versions of Ubuntu, not Canonical's. You are not forced to test on all versions, but it is in your best interest to ensure it runs on the latest Ubuntu release and prior versions.
For the purposes of the software center and paid applications, you should test 11.10, 11.04 and 10.10. You always have the option of only supporting the latest version if you wish and just need to inform the reviewer of that requirement when submitting your application.
In the case of ARB apps (FLOSS apps) you will want to ensure compatibility with all supported releases.

Yes, there is an alternative to the Ubuntu Software Center named appgrid. It's a very lightweight application center for Ubuntu and it will let you purchase applications too. You can install it in Ubuntu with these following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:appgrid/stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install appgrid
It was only a 100KB download for me.

I live in India and I've set my update server to default ubuntu server. This is how it looks :
Try changing your update server and see if that helps. I've found that the IIT-M server (which I used for a bit) is heavily behind. However, I haven't gone back to it and have relied on the main servers since then.
