I found a desktop background online that I rather like and instead of saving the file to disk normally and then setting it as the background, I simply pressed "Set as Desktop Background" from the context menu, which is an option that apparently comes up in Firefox for likely-sized images.
Now I wish to use it in my Ubuntu partitions as well. Where is the image stored on the filesystem when I set it as the desktop background without explicitly saving it to disk?
Is there a tool that has this functionality?

With this little tool you can very easily upload pictures to www.tinypic.com, www.imageshack.us and www.messyshare.com without having to go through their website. You can enable shell link integration and simply Right-click the file and select “Send to TinyPic/Imageshack/MessyShare“ or drag the file to the app. window and it will automatically start uploading.

I'd suggest taking a look at GParted, a partitioning tool that I've found to be very useful in the past.
You should blast away all the bootable partitions and start from scratch, formatting the drive exactly how you want and then installing each instance of whatever operating systems you want. Be sure you know the product keys and have a copy of all the OS types you want to use.

When using Firefox in Windows, it's saved a couple of directories above your profile. More specifically, it's
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Desktop Background.bmp.
