Windows Update thinks battery saver is on, even when it’s not

The best solution for Windows 10 updates is using a 3rd party software to install and hide updates.

It installs nothing, it is portable, it allows you to hide any update including drivers. This Software makes no changes to the normal windows update or your system (except for the updates you allow it to install) but does use the Windows update service, once you have hidden your updates and installed others you want, be sure to go into Windows Services and stop the Windows update service and then set it to disabled, or it will install the updates you hid using the other software.

So keep the windows update service disabled, the minitool will start it automatically when you run it, then disable it again when done using the minitool.

This was a benign bug by Microsoft. Since the changes are already included in the July Security Monthly Quality Rollup (KB4025341), the patch wasn't detecting that the patch was no longer required:

The fixes included in this Security Update for Internet Explorer 4025252 are also included in the July 2017 Security Monthly Quality Rollup. Installing either the Security Update for Internet Explorer or the Security Monthly Quality Rollup installs the fixes that are resolved in this update.

Per this forum thread, Microsoft released an updated version of the patch via WSUS if you want to perform a manual synchronization. Otherwise, you'll pick it up on your next scheduled sync.

I tested it myself, and it's no longer showing up on my PC as a necessary patch.
