I added the shape Charting shapes > Grid in my Visio document:
The size of the shape is much larger than the actual grid:
How can I resize the shape so that it fits the actual grid?
I use Microsoft Visio 2013 Professional on Windows 7.

To achieve this, follow these steps:
Design tabPage Setup
Page Properties tab in the Page Setup dialog boxBackground drop-down boxOK
To remove all margins:
In the Print Properties section of the ShapeSheet, set the following values to 0: PageLeftMargin; PageRightMargin; PageTopMargin; PageBottomMargin
Otherwise, just set 0 to PageLeftMargin, and value PageLeftMargin for the rest i.e. PageRightMargin; PageTopMargin; PageBottomMargin

Interesting, this happens if you change the default values of the rows and columns of a grid shape (for example in template Charts and Graphs). The specific shapes are old and were not updated in Visio 2013. This was not the intended behavior by the developers. This is something that the Visio Team should fix therefore it should be reported to the Visio team at Microsoft.
