Windows – Missing send to “Compressed (zipped) folder” after 1511 update or drag+drop to .zip

Modifying the answer found here, this piece of PowerShell script should do what you want. Just save it as a file with the Extension ".ps1". When calling it, just call it as ./filename.ps1 and it will extract the files to separate folders, delete the zip files and remove all files with .pdf extension. I have not tested if it works properly with recursive paths, but it should, please test it.

Edit: If you don't want your zip files to be deleted, remove or comment out (#) the line rmdir -Path $_.FullName -Force

Requirements: PowerShell, 7-zip and for you to set the 7-zip path in the file.

Navigate to C:\Users\<profile_name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo. You will have to enable show hidden items to drill to it, otherwise just copy and paste the whole path into File Explorer, with correct profile_name of course.

Most likely, you'll see all of the usual SendTo options here. If you see two related to Bluetooth, delete the one that has a size of 0B. This will correct the problem. In my case, the one I deleted was simply Bluetooth, while the correct one that I kept was Bluetooth device.

If you don't see anything in this folder, copy everything from C:\Users\Default \AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo into the same folder for your profile.
