How do I stop Windows 8 from timing out after 1 minute and going to the login screen? (Lockscreen already disabled) This is very annoying when i'm trying to work. I have changed everything in power settings to 15 minutes but the screen still times out after 1 minute then goes to the Password / login screen.

You can add the dword registry value Attributes under
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\PowerSettings\7516b95f-f776-4464-8c53-06167f40cc99\8EC4B3A5-6868-48c2-BE75-4F3044BE88A7]
and set it to 2 to add Console Lock Display Timeout to Advanced Power Options under display. Now all you have to do is go to Advanced Power Options and change the setting. I set mine to 0 so it never times out.

After hours of frustration trying to figure this out, I finally discovered the solution. The problem seems to stem from the fact that I'm using Windows 8 Enterprise. (At least I think. I'm not sure why else these obvious solutions weren't working.)
Apparently, by default Windows 8 Enterprise's security settings disable or override all of the solutions mentioned in the other responses (and original question).
Here's the solution:
Go to:
Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > User Accounts
And choose this item in the list on the left:
Reset security settings
Once you reset your security settings (and reboot), you will be able to disable the lock screen.
Disclaimer: I have no idea what other settings are changed by clicking Reset security settings, but this problem was enough of an annoyance for me that I wasn't concerned. Your mileage may vary.

Check your screen saver settings under personalization
right click the desktop(not metro).It is most likely set to 1 minute and you might want to uncheck the lock option as well.
