Windows – How to open the Intel HD Graphics menu? (Ctrl Alt f12 hotkey is disabled)

On motherboards with Intel's H67 chipset and Intel's Z68 chipset the display device can be connected to a port in the motherboard such as a VGA, DVI, HDMI or DisplayPort.

The board itself does not, but the Intel CPU's that are compatible with the socket 1155 chipset do. Every H67 based board will have a VGA/DVI port that's driven by the Intel integrated graphics.

The differences between P67 and H67 chipsets are quite logical. The first one is targeted for high-performance desktops, while the second one – for systems working with integrated graphics. So, H67 supports two independent monitor outs, but cannot split PCI Express x16 processor bus in two for a pair of graphics cards.

H67 – Onboard graphics are enabled, while overclocking is disabled

P67 – You need a graphics card for this chipset – onboard graphics is disabled, however overclocking is enabled here

Z68 – You guessed it…best of both worlds. Onboard graphics are enabled, as is overclocking

You will not be able to have the output of any add-in graphics card route through the motherboard's VGA/DVI connector because there is no path to do so. The motherboard's VGA/DVI connector is only there to allow you to use the on-board integrated graphics.

Firstly, you should have your monitor hooked up to the Radeon card directly. Secondly, make sure that you have the card properly seated and that any external power connectors are plugged in so that the card is getting power.

If you still aren't seeing anything output from your Radeon card, hook your monitor back up to the integrated graphics and boot into the BIOS menu. Make sure that you select "external graphics adapter" (or whatever is similar) as your primary display device. Then hook the monitor back up to the graphics card and reboot.

You should be seeing output on the monitor from the Radeon card, now.

Note that when you are using a graphics card, you cannot use your integrated graphics alongside it. It's an either-or proposition.
