How can I create a link that stars the Photo Gallery screensaver AND uses the images from the path "C:\Users\John\Desktop\stuff".
I can create a link to start the screensaver, but its showing images from the wrong directory. How can I pass the photos path to the screensaver?

To backup the documents for your user account:
XCOPY C:\Users\[your_username] [destination] /S
Where [destination] specifies where you'd like them copied, F:\backup for example.
Go to
Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\AutoPlay
For the entry for Pictures, select "Import pictures and videos using Windows".
Now, insert your USB drive (with pictures only on it), and you will see the following:
Click "Import settings", and you will see:
Change the settings as you see fit, and click OK.

The screensaver most probably takes its settings from the Registry, not from a command-line parameter.
It's showing pictures from the directory defined in its Settings.
