How do I install Vancouver style for Word 2016? I've found a YouTube video instructing the user to search online for a 'Vancouver.xsl' file, but this vague instruction seems a way to introduce viruses into your computer.

You need to download the reference styles from BibWord

https://github.com/mback2k/bibword-styles Click on the green button (right hand corner - download)

Download the styles.zip

Unzip the files from the styles.zip, you will see multiple files in the folder (these are the reference styles).

Install the reference styles. Need to close Microsoft Word completely before continuing.

Go to the Microsoft Word folder

This PC → Disk C: → Program Files → Microsoft Office → Office 12 → Bibliography → StyleCopy the reference styles from the unzipped zip file to Style folder

My best advice is to use Mendeley. It's completely free and it manages all your sources for you. You just have to load in the PDF's (of the articles you own) or the citation you can download from the articles online. Then you install the Mendeley add-in in Word. With the click of a button you then can search for the source you want and add the citation to your document. The style in which the sources are referenced can be chosen to fit the one you want.

While this isn't a solution to your question, pressing F12 will open up the SaveAs dialog box.

You can also save this macro to your Normal document, then assign the macro to a button that goes on your toolbar.

When I renamed my macro then re-added it to the toolbar, it seems to work every time from the button.
