Windows – How to edit the (metadata) “comments” field of a folder
metadatawindows 10windows-explorer
Any idea how to edit that "comments" field?
Is there a tweak available that would allow to simply click on the comment field to edit it?

Use the following VBS script.
My system is windows 10 64 bit.
I've solved it with a vbs script.
First I change the folder attributes to "system folder".
Then I placed an Desktop.INI file inside the folder with the comments as a parameter "InfoTip". You can change the comments inside
the INI file later to change the comments field.
This is the script (you can drag a folder on the script to use it):
'CreateFolderComments.vbs
'On Error Resume Next
Dim Foldername
Dim strMessage
Dim oShell
Dim fs
Set fs = WScript.CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject")
strMessage = Inputbox("Comments","Input Comments")
Foldername = Wscript.Arguments(0)
'Msgbox chr(34) & Foldername & chr(34)
Set oShell = WScript.CreateObject("WSCript.shell")
oShell.run "C:\Windows\System32\attrib +s " & chr(34) & FolderName & chr(34)
Set Tekstfile = fs.CreateTextFile(FolderName & "\Desktop.Ini", True)
Tekstfile.writeline("[.ShellClassInfo]")
Tekstfile.writeline("InfoTip=" & strMessage)
MsgBox "DONE !"
Some files's metedata can be edited in the explorer window, but not all file types for some reason. Those that can be edited have editable fields at teh bottom of the explorer window where it displays the information. You can simply click on the field and edit the data in that field. Unfortunately, not all file types allow for this type of editing, and I am not sure how exactly to deal with those.
Default stream selection behavior is to select one stream type per input. For example, as in your input, if it contains two audio streams, then only the stream with the most number of channels will be selected.
You can tell ffmpeg to include all streams with the -map option.
Because the -map option begins counting at 0, the 0 in this example refers to the first input (input.avi: your only input in this case). If you had additional inputs then -map 1 would refer to the second input.
set language metadata
To set the language of the first and second audio streams use the -metadata option with stream specifiers:
