Windows – How to boot from a Windows 10 USB stick on a Medion Akoya

I put a Windows 10 de_windows_10_education_version_1511_x86_dvd_7223961.iso file on a USB stick, using the
Rufus tool, in order to repair a failed Windows 10 upgrade.

Subsequently, I inserted this stick on a MEDION Akoya E1318T (MD 99330).

However, as shown in the below photos, I cannot boot from the USB stick. It does not show up in the boot menu although I am certain that it is bootable.

Can anyone advise me how to proceed?

check if your hdd/ssd is formated or BIOS making your boot drive useless. If this doesn't help, try reseting the bios. If this doesn't work, change your motherboard, hdd/ssd or bios battery. i hope this helps ?

Found the answer. Thanks Psycogeek for the hint that it could be USB related. I have installed the Intel Chipset Utility, even if it says it is only up to Windows 8.1 for now (August 2nd 2015). And now a stick is no longer necessary to boot into Windows.
