I occasionally use the Windows 10 explorer instead of my usual Total Commander when using windows. One thing that really bugged me was that "OneDrive" shortcut, As I don't use OneDrive.
I found the solution to removing it by editing the registry here.
That was great, however, I DO use OwnCloud and I want to add a shortcut to the Windows Explorer window where the OneDrive one used to be (preferably with the owncloud logo).
I have an Owncloud shortcut in the "Quick Access" item, which is ok, but I'd like better.
Note: this is not for windows 8 and not for google drive so is different from this question

Note : this also works for NextCloud
UPDATE: here is slightly different approach for Win10 which won't conflict with google drive in case you use both - with old approach, if you go to ownCloud folder via sidebar icon, and then right click a file and try google drive - share or whatever other option from context menu, it will stop working until you start new instance of explorer.
This approach won't give you this problem.
To cut to the chase, just create the following .bat and mind the Default Icon Path and of course TargetFolderPath (in this case d:\ownCloud) (Old post and solution is below this code block for your .bat
Here's what I did. If you need help removing it, lemme know. Tested on Win 10 Pro.
Result:
In the script below, you need to :
"TargetFolderPath"="x:\\pathTo-ownCloudFolder"
You can also replace the default icon by modifing this line (two occurences) :
@="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\ownCloud\\owncloud.exe,0"
If you use NextCloud, you need to change to :
@="C:\\Program Files (x86)\\NextCloud\\nextcloud.exe,0"
to show the default icon.
