I did pretty much the same as described in this question:

However, I still don't have internet access on the WinXP VM. I tried also by adding legacy network adapter and making it use the created virtual switch.
However, the internet connection is still not available. I can see in the device manager that ethernet device is added but it's missing it's driver (it has a yellow question mark on it)
In order to get the VM connected to the internet you have to tie it to the Ethernet/Wireless NIC Card. In order to do this you have to create a "Virtual Switch".
Select Action --> Virtual Switch Manager
Select External and then Create Virtual Switch
Give the Switch a Name and then select the External Controller you use to connect to the internet (Ethernet, or Wireless NIC, etc,.)
Note: You must select the way that you are actually connecting to the internet. IE, if your computer is set up to use Wifi or Ethernet, but is currently using Ethernet, you must use Ethernet - the Wifi connection will not work because the host machine isn't currently using it.
Select Apply and then OK
Right click on the Virtual Machine you want to connect and select Settings
Under the Network Adapter Setting select the newly created Virtual Switch
This should enable the connection you use to connect to the internet to be accessible to the VM
Note: you may have to do a ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew (Windows) or a sudo dhclient -v -r and sudo dhclient -v (Linux) on the remote machine to get it to renew its DHCP settings and retrieve an IP address.
Hyper-V does not support USB redirection. VMWare ESXi does from v4.1.
I personally needed USB redirection and had to use a commercial USB redirection software USB Over Network. This software works by redirecting the USB connection from the host machine (Windows 8.1) to the client (VM) over TCP/IP

You don't indicate what version of Windows you're running Hyper-V on. If you're running it on Windows 2012 R2 then based on this article (http://billyfung2010.blogspot.ca/2015/10/using-windows-xp-in-windows-10-by-using.html) it sounds like you should be able to take the vmguest.iso from the C:\Windows\System32 directory and mount that in your Windows XP VM. From there, go into the VM and run the installation from the virtual CD-Rom to install the integration services. Once the Integration services have been successfully installed, power down your VM, remove the regular virtual network adapter, replace it with the Legacy network adapter, and assign the new legacy adapter to your virtual switch.
If you're not running Hyper-V on a Server OS then I don't think that ISO will exist inside of C:\Windows\System32. If not then you'll have to find it elsewhere...
