Windows – Are there any light weight text editors (like Notepad) but with alternate background color

I'm searching for my programming tool, i.e. a text editor. I like Notepad very much but I want a text editor with alternate background color for each line. Just like the background of the picture below:

Depending on how your file's line endings are formatted (I'm going to assume Windows linebreaks since you said VB), you can switch the Search Mode to Extended and do something like this:

Find what: strLine
Replace with: line1\r\nline2
