The best way to do this is to use the Group Policy editor. Go into the start menu, type in gpedit.msc, and hit enter. When it comes up, go into User Configuration -> Administratrive Templates -> Desktop.
In here you'll see a settings called "Turn off Aero Shake window minimizing mouse gesture". Set this to enabled and no more Aero Shake.

Another option is to edit a key in the registry. If you don't have Group Policy Editor for some reason (lower end Windows 7 edition), this might be your only option. There's a downloadable reg file that will handle this automatically from the How-To Geek.
It is possible for free. Swap Screen is very simple program to do that. You have to define other shortcut than win+d, but I still find it convinient enough. For example I bound alt+1 to show desktop 1, alt+2 to show desktop 2.
Additionally, this program have some other neat features. One that I find myself using daily is function to move windows to another monitor with a shortcut, then there are sticky cursor and plenty other features. Windows detects multi-monitor set-ups as "1 background", this is most easily visible when taking a screenshot, it caps everything, the OS "knows" that there are multiple monitors connected, but it isn't able to seperate them for commands like that... yet ;)
