Windows – Add icon to context menu in quick access

I have recently been very irritated about the fact that there are no icons in the context menu of folders in the quick access menu. It would make it easier and quicker to differenciate context menu items if I were able to assign icons. And prettier because who doesn't like icons? Does someone know how to do this?

Please try this, right click and click properties, can you see customize tab? if there is customize tab, click it, and click change icon under file icon.

Try the following instead:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.lua]
@="LuaScript"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.lua\ShellNew]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\LuaScript]
@="Lua Script File"

The key to finding these was to essentially follow what Windows has for text files, or what it calls "Text Document." A few reboots later, I got the needed "new Lua script file" function.

After changing the icon, you have to unpin then re-pin the folder to the Quick Access so the icon will update.
