I imported photos from an iPhone with rotate option turned on. Then I saw I should have turned rotate option off, so I deleted the folder with the imported photos from my PC.
Now I’m not able to re-import because no photos are recognized as new. I tried Photos (Photo Gallery app), and even though it picks up my iphone device, it doesn't pull any photos. How can I reset and/or rename the setting so I can re-import the photos that I deleted from my PC?
When you open up the folder containing the photos in Windows Explorer, click the down arrow next to the button I circled on the top right of the window, and choose "Extra Large Icons":
This will zoom in your photos to a much larger size.
If you want to quickly evaluate a photo without opening a new program, you can also click the button to the right of the previous one mentioned (circled here):
This will enable the preview pane to be visible on the right side of the Explorer window. When you select an image, it will load a higher-resolution preview of the photo on the right side. You can resize the preview pane to get a better view of the photo, as needed.
It is worth noting, based on your previous comments, that this solution will display the images in as high of a resolution as the zoomed size will permit. This includes the preview pane. Conceptually, the preview pane, if resized to be large enough, will display the photo in full resolution.
I was able to fix this problem by simply changing a setting on my iPhone. If you have the same problem, go to Settings/Photos and scroll down to "Transfer to Mac or PC." "Keep Originals" should be checked, not "Automatic." Simply changing this setting solved my problem.

Once you deleted file it does not delete permanently. In first step it goes into trash(mac os) / recycle bin ( windows). You can put back your deleted file from here. Even if you delete files from trash/ recycle bin you can retrieve files by third party software (once I have done it). Because, deleted files from trash/recycle bin are stored into a internal storage/memory of the operating system(OS) running on that Computer.
