Trying Windows 7, I am Unable to Install .Net Framework 3.5 SP1 on Windows 7 Ultimate..
First I downloaded the bootstrap version then the full version but nothing happens.
I run the install, the UAC prompts and then nothing happens.
No error message or anything.
Any idea or anyone with similar problem?

The promlem has been fixed after HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v3.5\SP was set to 1.

Also could you check the following two registry keys and let me know what the values are?
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v3.5\SPAnd
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\NET Framework Setup\NDP\v3.5\SPTo get pass the install error, if the value of the registry is 0, set it to 1.
That message is trying to tell you that you need to install .NET 3.5 a different way under Windows 7. Because it's included as part of the operating system, you use the "Turn Windows features on or off" function to get to it, instead of installing a downloaded redistributable package.
