Is there any other alternative for the most popular custom firmware for the router, dd-wrt and tomato.
I have a tp-link wr340g router. And its not supported on both.
I want the QOS(quality of service) feature to be added to my routers functions because I only have limited connection speed(.47Mbps). And I am sharing it with 1 person. I want to be able to have a bigger portion of that little .47Mbps.

A small shell script designed to run on linux powered routers (OpenWRT, DD-WRT, but also other routers where shell access is available). It provides per user bandwidth monitoring capabilities and generates usage reports.

Another adaptation may be found in ip_conntrack with QoS and bandwidth use reporting.
If the device is not listed with any of the open-source router firmwares, then chances are it won't work with them.
The device has to be based upon one of a small selection of chipsets, and the majority of the supported devices already run some form of embedded linux.
You would need an enhanced firmware from the router manufacturer, which I doubt exists.
Your best bet would be to go out and buy a router that is either on the DD-WRT, Open-WRT or Tomato lists, or one that already has the QoS in it that you desire.
Either that or just slow down your p2p downloads. Most clients have options to do that.

I am afraid your router's flash and memory sizes are too small : 2MB Flash, 8MB RAM.
This is why there is no alternative firmware for this router.
