Windows 8 Taskbar and Desktop Refreshing Issues

I have an issue that my HP 650 laptop is doing refreshing of taskbar and desktop in every 2 minutes.

When refreshing the icons from the taskbar are disappearing for 1-2 second and then again shown.

What can be the reason of this problem and how can I solve it?

I'd suggest updating the display driver for your laptop but it could be malware as well. I can suggest malware removal tools but try the display driver(s) first.

To re-create the Show desktop icon yourself, follow these steps:

(1) Click Start, click Run, type notepad in the Open box, and then click OK.

(2) Carefully copy and then paste the following text into the Notepad window:

[Shell] 
Command=2 
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

(3) On the File menu, click Save As, and then save the file to your desktop as "Show desktop.scf". The Show desktop icon is created on your desktop.

(4) Click and then drag the Show desktop icon to your Quick Launch toolbar.

Windows – How to get the Windows 8 Desktop to stop refreshing itself while I’m working

On my system I turned off the "Mozy Home Status" utility and the constant refreshing stopped. If you're using Mozy perhaps this will fix the problem on your system as well. If not, check your other Startup programs. Good luck.
