Windows – Set up Internet Connection Sharing for Windows 7 and iPhone X to share internet hotspot with Asus AC2900 RT-AC86U router

After this question an internet connection to Windows 7 ought to be able to be shared to an Asus Router using Internet Connection Sharing. So I go into LAN3 and setup internet sharing with the Ethernet connected to the Router:

The connection appears to share but when I look at the properties for Ethernet and LAN3 the Ethernet shows No Internet Access.

There is no access for other PC connected to the (wireless) Router. What can I do to fix this?

PS It's not the Windows Firewall I have tried turning off Firewall and the same issue: no internet via the Router.

This question and this question helped. I set up a fixed IP address for my Asus Router.

However, I could not set up a fixed IP address for my iPhone so left it as automatic.

This answer then got everything to work. The Router has to be set up as an ACCESS POINT.

It does not make the Router show as "Internet" because the router is not directly connected to the internet. The Router (renamed from Local Area Connection) still shows as "No Internet Access":
