While editing a lot of source images and saving them for web, I eventually want to close all of the original images without saving them.
How can I CLOSE ALL without Photoshop prompting me if I want to save changes to each file?

You can do this by first making an action that saves a file with the settings you want.
After you have that action, do the following:
file -> action -> batch -> source(all open files)
select the action that you just made
run the batch script
there, you are done!
edit to include tip: If you want to bind a key such that hitting it will save all open files, you can do the following:
1) Create another action that runs a batch of the action saving open files
2) bind this action to the key of your choice
3) Hit the chosen key to save all open files

In newer versions (I'm using CC):
File->Close All, then tick the box in the pop up dialogue to apply your selected save selection to all documents.
