Macos – Mac OS Lion – Always show menubar with fullscreen apps

Does anyone know if it is possible to keep the menubar in Mac OS Lion visible for fullscreen apps instead of hidden until hovered over? I imagine there's some Terminal command I can enter to adjust this preference.

It would kind of defeat the purpose to call it FullScreen and then allow a way to not make it full screen. The point of full screen is to reduce the distractions, one of which would be the menu bar.

All of the other regular Mac sites are reporting the same thing.

Looks like your TERM value isn't recognized. You are probably setting the TERM value in your .profile (or similar) or you've got missing/corrupt files or invalid permissions in /usr/share/terminfo/.

Add the following line to ~/.bashrc

export HISTCONTROL=ignorespace

Then source ~/.bashrc to refresh the settings

This should enable that feature in bash. If it doesn't work, you might have to add it to ~/.bash_profile instead of ~/.bashrc since OS X loads them a bit differently than linux I think.
