Linux – How to Right Click Using the Keyboard from Ubuntu on a Mac

I'm running Ubuntu on a Macbook Pro. How do you right-click using the keyboard in this setup? I've read that holding down the command key simulates pressing the "context menu" button on a Windows machine, but this behavior doesn't seem to be present in Ubuntu. I also don't see any way to configure this in Ubuntu's keyboard shortcut preferences dialog. Is there anyway else to do it?

Following JJ Stiff's answer, I tried installing xbindkeys and adding to my ~/.xbindkeysrc:

"sleep .05 && xdotool click 3"
  m:0x50 + c:134

Running xbindkeys -k and pressing the right command key reported that the code for the right command key is m:0x50 + c:134, thus the entry above.

However, when running xbindkeys -v, pressing the right command key still has no effect.

You can use Autohotkey.

When you Launch Autohotkey, it will asks you the following:

To help you get started, would you like to create a sample script in the My Documents folder?

Press YES to create and display the sample script.

This will create a AutoHotkey.ahk file in your Documents Folder. Open AutoHotkey.ahk with notepad and add the following to the end of the file.

RAlt::Appskey

Now run the script by opening the AutoHotkey.ahk file with the Autohotkey application you installed before.

Now when you press the right Alt key you will see the ContextMenu.

Linux – Make keyboard in Ubuntu 14.04 act like in Windows

For some versions of Ubuntu (as well as Linux Mint), there's a built-in setting for this:

Open "Keyboard" preferences via "System Settings."
Click the "Options" button.
Click on "Miscellaneous keyboard options."
Select "Shift with numeric keys works as in MS Windows."

For other versions, including Ubuntu 14.04, that setting isn't available by default, but there's an easy solution:

Open a terminal and run sudo apt-get install gnome-tweak-tool.
Run gnome-tweak-tool.
Click on "Typing."
Click on "Miscellaneous compatibility options."
Select "Shift with numeric keypad keys works as in MS Windows" (which may only appear as "Shift with numeric keypad ke...").
