I want to create very high resolution graphic representations of some high bitrate WAV files I have for printing in a book a la art project. Here's some examples:
I could just get a trial / buy Audition or Soundbooth but those will just be screen resolution. Is there any software that will render at a higher res but in an artistic style?
The Geiss Winamp vis plugin (by the same guy who wrote MilkDrop), has a screensaver version available that reacts to any audio being played.
PlasmaVis comes as a Windows Media Player vis plugin, a screensaver and stand-alone visualizer.
SoundSpectrum has a bunch of music visualizers that are highly recommended.
VSX (VisXtreme/Visualization Xtreme) and VSXu/VSX Ultra are great as well.

Media Player Classic Home Cinema (freeware, included in K-Lite codec pack) has a software-audio-delay function.
here is a guide on how to achieve this.
In short:
Go to View->Options->Internal Filters->Audio Switcher and here you can change the delay:
MPC does support video streams (Any = Internet/Lan/Local).
Your second option, which is for both windows and mac, is to use an audio delay plugin which I found here
