Windows – How to disable Win+Ctrl+N hotkey that opens Narrator settings in Windows 10

It's easy enough to disable the main Narrator hotkey Win+Ctrl+Enter (in the very settings mentioned in the title), but there's seems to be no solution to disable

Win+Ctrl+N that launches the settings dialog.

At least this solution doesn't work. And no answer has been supplied for this question.

Am I really to change a well-memorized keyboard shortcut I used to have been using in VSCode under Windows 7, because… Windows. Any ideas?

I found another solution, you might want to try.

There are two programs that can help you to turn off specific Windows hotkeys, they are SharpKeys and AutoHotkey.

SharpKeys allow you to turn off a specific hotkey or adjust it to another key as you want. Meanwhile, AutoHotKey will help you to turn off a specific hotkey by adding a script.

Windows – Disable Windows + Space hotkey in Windows 8

It doesn't seem like there's a natural way to do this from within Windows 8, but you can do it using AutoHotkey. Download and run/install AutoHotKey, right click on some folder, then New>AutoHotKey Script. Edit that with Notepad or Notepad++ and add this hotkey:

#Space::
return

That remaps the Win(#)+Space(Space) button to do nothing. Then you just run the AutoHotkey Script. To get it to run automatically when your computer starts, put the script into the startup folder.

Hopefully autohotkey isn't too intrusive. Maybe you'll find some other uses for it (I think I first found out about it when I was trying to remap Caps-Lock so that it doesn't do anything, since that's the world's most pointless key).

Windows 10 shortcut disable – Win + Ctrl + S

I successfully disabled this windows 10 shortcut using this guide.

Notice: using this method will disable ALL windows hotkeys that include the windows key and s. Unfortunately, as far as I know there's no way to disable a single hotkey combination.

Basically, open the registry editor, and just add a new registry key at this location:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced

name the new key DisabledHotkeys and give it the value S.

Reboot your system, and the hotkey will be disabled.

Obligatory warning: Don't touch the registry editor if you don't know what you're doing. It's for advanced users, and using it incorrectly can cause major issues. Use at your own risk.
